Search entries
A name, location, or other term entered in a search tool is transmitted to the third-party provider that operates the search. Anderson County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider may process the query under its separate privacy policy.
Messages sent to us
An email or contact-form message is retained as needed to understand the request, reply, maintain the correspondence, and address misuse or technical trouble. Contact messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal demand.
Technical Details Collected Automatically
Like most websites, the service receives limited technical and usage details when a page loads. These records help operate and protect the site and describe use in aggregate. They may include:
- The internet protocol address used for the visit
- Browser name, browser version, and language settings
- Device category and operating system
- Pages opened and approximate time spent on them
- The referring website, when a referral is supplied
- Date and time stamps for requests
Cookies and similar storage
Cookies may help measure how visitors move through the Anderson County release-record pages and remember basic preferences. Browser controls can refuse or remove cookies. Blocking them may cause some search, measurement, advertising, or preference features to behave differently.
How Information Supports the Service
Collected information is used for defined operating purposes rather than to create an Anderson County custody dossier about a visitor.

Government Portals and Other Websites
Links may lead to Anderson County offices, Franklin County Regional Jail, the Kentucky Department of Corrections, Kentucky VINE, courts, federal locators, or outside search tools. Once a visitor follows a link, that operator's privacy policy and data practices apply. Anderson County Released Inmates does not set those outside rules.
Some advertising companies may use their own cookies or identifiers to observe activity across websites and select advertising. That processing occurs on the partner's systems, not as an inmate or release record maintained here.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be disclosed to service providers or authorities when needed for the purposes described in this notice:
- Search partners that receive and process submitted queries
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and page use
- Advertising networks that deliver and measure advertisements
- Law-enforcement agencies or government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Security Is a Shared Limit
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information in our control. No internet connection, server, email system, or storage method is completely secure. We therefore cannot promise that information will never be intercepted, lost, misused, or accessed without authorization.
Visitors Younger Than 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly request or collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted personal information should use the Contacts page. After a verifiable request, we will take reasonable steps to locate and delete information under our control.
Privacy Requests and Choices
Subject to applicable law and verification of the requester, a visitor may ask us to:
- Provide a copy of personal information held about that visitor
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete personal information when an applicable right permits erasure
- Opt out of certain processing where such a choice is legally available
These rights concern data controlled by this private site. Requests about an Anderson court file, FCRJ record, KOOL entry, or another government record must go to the agency that maintains it. Kentucky open-records access is governed separately by KRS Chapter 61 and does not turn a site privacy request into a government records request.
Changes to This Notice
This privacy notice may be revised as services, partners, or legal requirements change. The updated version takes effect when posted here with a revised effective date. Continued use after an update is subject to the version then displayed.
